Summer in the Reeks: BEE Outdoors Festival

Please join us for this event on June 24, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  Please see the below flyer for more information.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!   Volunteer for one day or many days, your choice....

Since Friends of Banshee Reeks operates completely through dedicated Volunteers, we always need your help.  The third Saturday of each month is VOLUNTEER DAY at Banshee Reeks and the Visitors Center is open.  We need Volunteers to help us staff the Center.  Some days, we don't have enough Volunteers to keep the Center open for a full day.  Might you consider joining this congenial, enthusiastic corps?  No experience necessary.  We will train you!  Interested?  Please contact us at info@bansheereeks.org, and type "Visitor Center Volunteering" in subject line.  THANK YOU!

Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve

Enjoy the beauty of 725-acres, nestled in the heart of Loudoun County, VA. Explore the diverse successional fields, hardwood forests, wetlands, and riverine habitat.  Banshee Reeks is Loudoun County's only nature preserve.
In 2016, BRNP officially became a Virginia State Treasure by the Governor.

Visit the Preserve any weekend.  With over 20 miles of maintained trails, there are ample opportunities for wildlife observation. Locate trail maps and other information on the porch of Visitors Center. While the parking lot is under construction (Dec 2016-Feb 2017), the kiosk has been removed.  Please stay on the trails and keep dogs on leash.  This protects fragile habitat within the Preserve.

The Woods Road Project

Since The Woods Road is now wider and paved, please observe speed limit and watch for wildlife. Also, many people walk and bike along the road, so watch out for your fellow neighbors. Thank you.

FOBR Membership - Renewal Time is upon us!

Have you joined us or renewed your membership?  If not, please do so online or return the paper form via mail. Thank you!
