Welcome to Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve! Enjoy the beauty of Banshee Reeks, a 725-acre nature preserve in the heart of Loudoun County, Virginia. The Preserve consists of successional fields, hardwood forests, wetlands, and riverine habitat. Banshee Reeks strives to protect the rich natural environment of the varied plant and animal populations within its borders. This is a unique Preserve due to its size and variety of both plants and animals. Goose Creek, a State scenic river, houses abundant, diverse wildlife comprising over two miles of Banshee Reeks' borders.
Come out and hike the trails any weekend! With over 20 miles of trails running through various habitats, the Preserve provides ample opportunities for wildlife observation. Trail maps are available at the Visitor Center, exterior kiosk, and via the internet. In order to protect the many species and habitats within the Preserve, we ask that you please stay on the trails.
